Mission Statement

The purpose of the department is to prevent fires from starting, save lives and protect the people and property of Inland Township should fire, medical or other threatening situations occur. To confine fire to its origin, to extinguish fire by the most efficient means possible and provide mutual aid to surrounding communities.

Inland Township is served by a Volunteer Fire Department. Coverage is provided 24/7 by these trained volunteers.

The Inland Township Fire Department is always in need of new members.

If you are interested in becoming a trained Firefighter or Medical First Responder, or are already trained as such, and are willing to dedicate a small portion of your life to community service, please contact one of our members or call the Township Office at 231-275-6568, option # 4 to reach the Fire Chief.
